I also recommend the Witch World books and Quag Keep - but I don't recommend "Return to Quag Keep" - that was authored by Norton and Jean Rabe. IMO, it was mostly written by the latter, and it is pretty bad.

I'll throw in some recommendations, but really, it'd be easier for me to list the ones I don't care for!

The Time Trader series: Time Traders, Galactic Derelict, The Defiant Agents, etc.
The Wyvern books: Warlock of Wyvern and Storm Over Warlock.
For a stand alone: Daybreak 2250 AD (Also called Star Man's Son).

And so on, and so forth.

(And to emphasize a point, Beastmaster has nothing to do with the movie or TV series, although they got the animals mostly right.)

I think Daybreak 2250 AD was actually alternatively titled No Night Without Stars. Star Man's Son was good too though, and I think it's alternative title was Star Gate.

No, Daybreak 2250 AD and No Night Without Stars are two different books. The first one is post apocalyptic with a "Gamma Wolrd" flavor, the second is set on another Earth (alternate or parallel world).
