Angel 10/15/03 (possible spoliers)

Actually, the few episodes of those seasons I've seen have convinced me not to buy them on DVD (I've only watched the other seasons because I bought the DVDs).

I enjoyed season five, though it wasn't as good as, say, season three (but what is?). I liked the plot of it, some of the one-off episodes, and the way it kind of wrapped up the earlier seasons.

A lot of people didn't like season six, it had some goofy episodes early on that turned people off. But Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa, the asylum one, and a couple of other standouts would let me buy that season easily. Heck, I'd buy it just for Once More with Feeling, the only buffy episode I've ever bothered to download.

Seven was stronger overall than six, I think, though less standout episodes until the end. The villains, the evil plot, the principal, the slayerettes, Faith, heck, I even kinda liked Spike in this season.

So if you're not going to buy them, but you liked the first four seasons, you should at least borrow them or watch them on FX. :) After all, the show is over, that's all we're going to get.

But hey, Firefly comes out on DVD in December, so you can get your Joss Whedon fix elsewhere if you must.

I kinda like annoying spike, he's not evil, but makes a good anti-hero character.

I especially liked it when he possesed what's his face and punched angel ...

I hope he gets better soon.

I think that's my main thing. Spike was too moody after he got the chip. He needs to get some measure of power back and he needs a place in the series if he's going to be around.
