Angel Spoilers?

Anyway I think I am more bothered about how they handle it (Angel turning). Angel was in total bliss when the baby was born, why no change? Josh must think men can only be happy during climax. Well, maybe he has something there.
I don't think he was in total bliss when Connor was born, partially due to the loss of Darla. Also, I don't think that he turned at the moment of climax with Buffy either - it was later, lying next to her and feeling totally at ease with himself and the world. This is shown pretty clearly in the episode where it happens.

I think direct Buffy-Angel crossovers are still unlikely, for the same reason they didn't happen last year (despite obvious opportunities): the shows are on different networks, and those networks don't want to play nice with one another.

That said, I suspect that Faith being on both shows will be part of some sort of quasi-crossover. I doubt any of the current Buffy cast will show up on Angel, or vice versa, but perhaps events on one show will be echoed on the other.

As for Angel/Angelus -- well, there's the Angel-Cordelia relationship to consider. Or Angelus could appear in a flashback or alternate dimension storyline (a la Dopplegangland). Oh, then there's certain rumors about guest stars on Buffy that ought logically lead to us seeing Angelus on Buffy, but probably won't (due to the different networks thing).

Who knows, though, maybe Whedon can persuade UPN & WB to share. :)

Although not important, I disagree. He was glowing in fatherhood, not letting anyone else touch the baby, he was singing, dancing, humming, complete isolted bliss with he and Conner. The first dissolution I really noticed was the episode Angels food was tainted with the babies blood.

Ah, you meant the time period following the baby's "birth". I thought you meant the moment when the baby was born.

I still disagree that he was *perfectly* happy, though. He was certainly happy, but not perfectly so. He was too worried about the baby for that.

In regards to Angel experiencing "true happiness", I believe the curse was meant to prevent him from experiencing the sense of euphoria (without consequences) that comes after you "speak the language of love". The "after glow", so to speak, leaves one feeling a sense of complete peace, if only for a few seconds (before your conscience sets in, the alchohol wears off, the AC kicks on, the heat kicks off, she/he asks "What are you thinking?", whatever), maybe more or less time, depending on your personality.

This euphoria can be brought about many ways, but "doing the deed" pretty much guarantees that you will experience it.

Then again, I could be blowin' smoke outta my [bleep!]. ;)

It's slightly more than that. He "did the deed" with Darla, but didn't become Angelus. His explanation? That it wasn't perfect happiness, it was perfect dispair. The deed itself, then, is insufficient. It just gives him a major boost in the proper direction.

Yes. It is. I said as much. Read my post again. I'll give you a hint...it's in the first sentence. :)

*shrug*. I didn't (and still don't) think you put it particularly clearly.

Something wrong with your shoulders? :D I think my last comment, "doing the deed", is what threw you off. It made the act sound more trivial, when in fact, I was saying that the act must be far more than trivial for the curse to manifest.
