Angelfire scoops continuing...

What is a Dol Arrah?

A Dol Arrah is roughly the same thing as a Tyr or a Heironeous. :p It's Eberron's foremost paladin-deity, along with the Silver Flame (who was created by a paladin of Dol Arrah).

Deathknell had 5 dwarves (including the undead one), two halflings, and 0 gnomes.

I've the feeling it'll be the same for Angelfire. Dwarven Wizard, Dwarven Raider, Champion of Moradin, Dwarven Paragon, Dwarven Ninja, Dwarven Bard, Dwarven Paladin, Dwarven Dragon Disciple... All there, and more!

With a bit of luck, there will be a Svirfneblin gnome in Underdark...

So Deathknell had four dwarves (five if you include the dwarf skeleton). Angelfire already has the dwarf mercenary, dwarf raider, dwarf wizard, and (possibly) the cleric of Dol Arrah. Not really a complaint, but I'm just a little surprised when this is supposed to be an outsider-themed set.

Not sure why it would come as a surprise. Are you new to this? Deathknell wasn't dominated by undead, and Aberrations wasn't primarily aberrations. They're always going to have more humanoids than anything. It's one the lamer aspects of having to support the stand-alone mini-game.

All of that said, I am rather more impressed with the previews of Angelfire than I was of Deathknell.

Whatever the case, while I know they have their detractors, I love the D&D minis and they have really added to our gaming sessions.

We just don't have the time to spend on painting minis anymore. I love these things!

One of the biggest complaints of previous sets was the sheer number of dwarves with axes and hammers. I'm assuming this set is rectifying that situation. Dwarves are a pretty popular race to play, so this is a good thing in my book.

And another was the sheer number of dwarves, period.

And yet another, the sheer number of humanoids relative to monsters.

Ah, Eberron. Is he as arrogant as Tyr? There's only one FR deity I hate more, and that's Helm.

I really hope they'll stop the dwarven flood soon. I have been suspecting for some time that a bunch of dwarven fanboys ganged up, took some Wizard's child hostage and now keep demanding more dwarves. ;)

With a bit of luck, there will be a Svirfneblin gnome in Underdark...

I think that there will be at least one Svirfneblin in there, as well as at least one Duergar. And drow out of the ears, of course.

Dol Arrah, I believe, isn't as arrogant as Tyr. (And I'd like to point out Kaeyoss, Eberron not equal to Dol Arrah.

*won't comment on dwarves*

Red Slaad is a big question mark at the moment - I've heard that it may be in the set, but not much more.

Cheers!
