[ANNOUNCE] Sidewinder and Dog House Rules...

July 24, 2003 - Effective July 1st, 2003 the rights to the ENnie nominated Sidewinder: Wild West Adventure (tm) have reverted from Citizen Games to its original creator, Geoff Spakes. The newly formed Dog House Rules (www.doghouserules.net) will be publishing Sidewinder: Recoiled (tm) in PDF format for release sometime in late summer or early fall. This supplement will take the original concept of d20 pure wild west and convert it to the d20 Modern rules system.

The writers working on Sidewinder: Recoiled (tm) feel that the d20 Modern system will do the wild west genre more justice that the original d20 system does. The main thrust of Sidewinder: Recoiled (tm) will be to compile a foundation of skills, feats, and advanced classes for the wild west genre to build upon for future works.

Plans for future PDF support material are already in the works; these supplements will be written to support both Sidewinder: Wild West Adventure (tm) and Sidewinder: Recoiled (tm) in their respective d20 and d20 Modern formats. The loyal Sidewinder (tm)community has been clamoring for support material, this is the perfect opportunity and PDF the perfect media to bring it to them in a cost-effective manner.

Too bad about Citizen Games. I wonder what will happen to the MasterScreen product?

Hey, no need to worry. Citizen Games is still around, and like Geoff said, we'll be working in conjunction with him to provide some material for Sidewinder Wild West on our own. Still working out the details, but if all goes well, you should see an official anouncement concerning this in the coming weeks. As for the Masterscreen, it is still availible and we're working on other products as well. So keep your eyes peeled.

Citizen Games is still around and kicking so no need to worry about your Masterscreen. Dog House Rules will be focusing on the PDF market with a possible eye to a print product sometime in the future. If that happens, we should be partnering with Citizen Games to bring that to fruition.

As it stands now, DHR and CG are working out the details to put out some previously unpublished Sidewinder material in print medium. These will be dual purpose with Sidewinder and Sidewinder: Recoiled stats.

The final details are virtually worked out and the end result will be great for everyone involved...especially the fans of Sidewinder.

Update

There's been a slight update to the Dog House Rules website to implement the
full website structure. As sections of Sidewinder: Recoiled get finished up,
we will be posting previews.
