really? wet woman on a trireme is tied for first? anyone else want to explain that choice?

The Shadowfell door turned into a fueding families trying to end the feud with a marriage. The elf is there to create mischief, and prevent the wedding. He will mock and torment the PCs, and then leave the wedding in their hands. The brides name is Rosaline. She is actually in-love with another. Her preferred mate is the "Devastatingly Handsome, Broody, Boy-Vampire, Sparkling in the Sun of the Shadowfell." I 'm not planning on giving him an actual name.

the DHBBVSSS will instantly forget about Rosaline when he sees the 21chr PC, whose name alas, is not Juliet. She will probably kill him. If she catches the Shakespeare refrence, it might be with Shared Agony (warlock encounter power)

The entire door will be handled with a small skill challange, a bunch of role-playing and handwaving.

The party will go on to wrap up the campaign by entering a Rusty Iron Door - which only shows a misty plain covered in white sand. There is only one door (instead of the usual 10). There are several entertaining fights, but even if they survive they won't make it back to the hallway.

I hope people enjoyed the doors.

The hallway seems to go on forever in both directions, but only ten doors open to your (now) Silver key.

Door 1: Wounded men in uniform are carried through the street. The uniform is unfamiliar, the men seem to be wearing chainmail and carrying short swords. Blocky 2 story white-washed buildings gleam in the sunlight. A worried faces peer from windows. Across the street a door is half open, a figure inside is in the act of opening or closing it.

He wears an uniform and carries swords - he knew the rules of this game, and decided he was right enough to stab others. Someone beat him to it.

Door 2: A city of crystal towers and tall stately trees. Exquisitely dressed Elderin dance on a marble plaza. One female with striking white hair and cloak set with a web design dances amidst a crowd. Visible from your door a large crystal is hidden behind a ornamental bush. Something dark pulses in the center of the stone.

Couldn't possibly care less.

Door 3: a man with a non-descript face, speaks to a mixed group of foreign humans, the clothes are unfamiliar folded robes, but the gold rings and other jewelry speaks of wealth. The humans seem worried, sweat beads on more than one face.

Everyone is gonna die in the end.

Door 4: A long scrubby hillside, sloping down. In the distance a now deserted a creek. Again there seems to be no structure around the door. The door opens about 6’ above the ground apparently hanging in mid-air. This time the area is heavy in shadow, although the sky appears clear.

Hm... There's about 90% chance of a delicate arm reaching out of the lake handing me a sword... But one of the knights is gonna cockblock me there.

Door 5: An arena floor with thousands of spectators. Some men fight with beasts, while a 9’tall green giant stands among bodies of fallen men and Halflings in stylized armor. A single battered Halfling trails behind it. The brute is heading for a man kneeling over a fallen companion.

Sorry, my bad!

Door 6: This is the deck of a long, narrow, rectangular ship. Sailors are pulling a soaking and disheveled woman over the side. The open deck is high above the water, and a long bank of raised oars sprouts from a lower level.

Ah! A damsel in distress! A SG if you will. Gonna have to look back to this one.

Door 7: A mob of upset farmers approach a man in priestly vestments. The walls of the large Hall hang with tapestries, at least two depict Iva the goddess of Water, Healing, Society, and Deception.

Serves him right for all the deception. Did you finish your prayers, preacher?

Door 8: The street seems filled with people in only shades of grey, black and white. Most are human, but around the edges of the crowd are smaller people, possibly gnomes or halflings. Amid the crowd there are only two spots of color, a young woman in a fancy gown of palest red, and a laughing elf in lavender. The elf is drawing disapproving stares.

It seems to me, this might be your good old superstitious crowd.

Door 9: In an immense dark cavern, an elderin stands with sword in hand. Approaching is a party of lizard headed humanoids with gray scales. The humanoids are carrying picks, axes, hammers and a shovel.

Ah, an excavation! But I have enough of this irl.

Door 10: On one side a huge ape-creature with glowing eyes charges towards a legion shieldwall. On the other side a man in legion uniform, and a sheathed blade is talking to 3 tieflings. Overhead 2 tentacled star-spawn struggle with a round, winged creature with a huge mouth.

Not a meatshield.

So... Door 6 looks tempting, but I have this feeling that the lass has a voice of a nerdish guy, and it's not my fetish. Door 9 - if it's what I think it is, I do this for a living. I'm gonna take my chances with Door 8, as I'd love to learn what the superstitious folk are doing. And possibly thwart it.

edit: uh-oh. Not looking at initial dates + not wanting to see any spoilers added up into bad case of out-of-touch post :P

I'm definitely a Door #2 chooser. I prefer my women striking instead of wet, the hidden mystery compels me, and the place looks like a lot of fun...

...to blow up. So there's a bunch of people already there to do just that.

I like the instant action of Door #10. It would also be interesting to find out what is going on and decide who needs help (and who deserves it). I also like the army motif, as I haven't played on a large battlefield in awhile.
