Another alternate vorpral

Vorpral:

Vorpral weapons allow a charachter to use rolling criticals. When a charachter confirms a critical hit with a vorpral weapon and lands within the threat range they may attempt to confirm again for additional damage. The aditional damage is equal to (multiplyer-1)^(number of crits) and stacks.

So x2 weapons do x2, x3, x4, x5...
x3 weapons do x3, x7, x15, x31...
x4 weapons do x4, x13, x30...

Ex. Man with a keen vorpral falchion with improved critical rolls a 20, confirms with a 19, confirms with a 12, confirms with a 16, confirms with a 10.
Deals x5 damage. +x1 per each hit.

Ex. Same guy with a scythe with the same properties, same rolls.
Deals x13 damage. +x3 for crit +x9 for double-crit.

This preserves the balance between the weapons (the scythe and the falchion do the same average damage, as do the longsword and the battleaxe.) Normal vorpral dosn't. It also is quite powerful. What bonus does this quality deserve?

(it increases average damage by (threatrange*(multiplier-1)*5%)

well, it is weaker then the automatic kill the real one has. However, I think it offers to much damage for the high crit weapons. When doing that much damage you are doing an auto kill.

The damage needs to scale like that, or it makes a vorpal sword better than a vorpal axe.

Also the auto kill is (at worst) ~2% of the time (assuming you need a double crit with a scythe ~273 dam with a 22 strenghth and a +5 weapon.) 27/8000 if you need a triple crit (~630 dam (almost enough to insta-kill a great wyrm red)).
And about never if you need a quadruple crit.

The chances of multiple crits are really slim, I'll grant you that.

Would you have this as a +5 or a +4 weapon enhancement?
