Another First Time DM needs advice

Latency

First Post
I am looking for advice on what adventure to use for a first time DM. I have played 3E since it came out but I have never been the DM. Due to the DM leaving town and going back to School I will be filling the roll. The players have all been through the Sunless Citadel so that one is out. Can any one recommend anything that is a fun adventure and not to difficult for a first time DM. I am not to picky about Level as I have not told them to make characters. There will be three players in the party and possible an NPC if needed. I would like to set it in the Realms so and advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

There's a wealth of free adventures right here at EN World. Follow this link.

They are organized by the level of party that should play them. There are dozens if not hundred of adventures there for all character levels.

Well, you said any advice, so here goes: Drop the Realms and run Scared Lands. There is a wealth of information out there on it so it'd be good for a first time DM to have all of that wealth and depth of background at his disposal. Secondly, the first adventure for it is free online over at http://www.swordsorcery.com/swordsorcery/Downloads/serpentamphora.pdf

It's a great adventure with some follow-up modules and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this campaign setting.

Other than that, I agree with the Dungeon recommendation. There was in just last issue the beginning of the Adventure Path series that would work well and could lead to a campaign if they publish the path like they say they will. Best of luck in your new RP career.

You can run any adventure in any world you want.

Another good 1st level one:

Dungeon 87 "Raiders of Galath's Roost" (Realms adventure)

echo the CMG "whispering Woodwind" adventure.

Freeport.

Gorgoldand's Gauntlet.

NeMoren's Vault

Oh, like you've never typoed... :p Scarred Lands, Scarred Lands Scarred Lands. Hey, the Scarred Lands could be called the Scared Lands... people are kind of uptight after that whole gods beating the titans thing.

Well, you could, but the Scarred Lands are a bit less... Scarey?

and I already have all the books for the realms :)

But next time I am at the game shop I am going to look into Scarred Lands. :)

Has anyone played the new adventure path from Dungeon ? I have been look at trying that.

I'll second on Raiders of Galath's Roost and Gorgoldand's Gauntlet. Those are some fine introductory adventures.
