D&D 3E/3.5 Another "Wish" question. 3.5.

I'm using this should the opportunity present itself.

I suffered from such a problem with an Ogre who had the Weapon of Legacy Stormchaser's Cudgel. You needed a required STR to even use it to get on the Legacy path, and my DM thought all I needed was a Belt of Giant Strength and everything would be okay. I obviously wasn't going to stand for such a thing, because I wanted a bit of consistency with what the rules are supposed to be.

It is extremely common (read: I've never heard of it any other way) for stat boosting items to count towards the Str. requirement of equipment. For all purposes, with a Belt of Storm Giant Str. (1e/2e), or a Belt of Giant Str. (3e/4e), your Str. is the new score. You can lift, carry, drag, and wield all things that require your new score; as it is difficult to gain stat points any other way.

Quite aware of this. The complication comes in the form of the weapon in question being a Weapon of Legacy, of which you needed these inherent stats/skills to take the feats and progress the power (lest that's how I read it). What happens when you lose that which is inherent?

Never got the DMs word of that game on my thoughts with that, because again, got kicked out the next week. ;)
