I thought that wizards no longer was going to sell items at cons or was I dreaming?
I don't know, but WotC has always been so consistent, reliable and logical...
I still think they will be selling.

They were not selling at Origins, but I do find it hard to believe that they would lauch a product at Gen Con without selling it there.

I have confirmation that E-Tools is ready to go so stores can have it on the 8th, shipping SNAFU's and UPS strikes notwithstanding.
As far as WotC selling at GenCon: technically they won't, they have outsourced an independent company to sell in the castle.

So, once again, WotC will be outsold by every other d20 publisher, just like they were at Origins. :)

Is Fluid obligated (to the customers) to fix any D&D core rules bugs (as there are many in the initial release of E-Tools)? And if so, how fast will these patches come?

E-Tools Patches

Does anyone have information regarding any "official" patches. I have experienced regular problems with E-Tools and I am hoping to find some help.

Thanks

Those original quotes are now obviously outdated as communication as to the future of eTools has virtually trickled to a stop. I don't believe there is a patch being worked on right now, as Fluid has already been paid and is under no obligation to patch the product. They realize eTools is a failure, or why would they not be speaking up as to their exciting future plans for the product? It would only take one of the developers a couple of minutes to post his exciting ideas for the product, but there have been no recent updates in quite a while. Many people are furious as this could possibly be one of the buggiest releases many of use have seen. I have yet to make a character without rule bugs mis-priced items, and incorrectly linked data. I have emailed both companies often with various questions and have either been ignored or sent answers that have nothing to do with my questions. So much for support.

All I have to say about my frustration is, *uck WotC.

Well, what about the posts from Eric Leaf, Eric Noah, and Davin all mentioning a beta test of the patch?

I believe that Eric Leaf mentioned it over at the MSN group, Scott mentioned something to Eric Noah, and Davin mentioned or it was Eric Leaf mentioned that Davin was going to be getting the patched version of the new database so ET Helper was all set. You just got to read the boards, and you will find this out.

It sounds like they are working on a patch to me.

And I am no longer blaming WOTC, I blame Hasbro. Look at what has happened to WOTC since Hasbro took over.

You want to be specific?

AFAIK (and keeping on-topic), Hasbro has no involvement in the e-Tools/Master Tools project other than providing the fund. You could blame that one Hasbro employee that transferred to WotC and embezzled millions of dollar from the the company's business operation budget, which is why Hasbro is going to sue him in a civil lawsuit and get whatever they can from Mr. Tom Federline(sp?).

Please, publish the allegations you have against Hasbro.
