Ah, sea cucumbers, my old friends. Gotta love a critter that uses self-disembowelment as a defense mechanism. We used to have great fun in marine biology class in high school holding them over the head of an unsuspecting victim and then triggering the expulsion reflex. Good times.
 


First Giant Squid, then Colossal Squid, now this. Wonder when they etherial barrier blocking high mystical energies will colopse. Then watch the fun as all the latent abilites in people and animals kick in. hehehe
 

I want more pictures!!!

This is notable from a biochemistry standpoint because, while not exact, most of these creatures aren't easily reachable for study. That's very exciting, since a large amount of our useful chemicals, at least in medicine and biochem, come from exotic creatures. I can't wait to see where this leads.

Sea cucumbers can't hold a candle to hagfish ;)

Mind you, when I think of sea cucumbers, I think of pearlfish and... in a word.... ewwwww
