Anti dwarf traps

Dwarves are naturally good at noticing shifting stonework traps or something like that, no?

So I'd introduce shifting stonework traps that can be avoided by travelling beside them (or past them) onto the really nasty traps - the magical glyphs of warding, spells set with the 'earthbound' metamagic feat (or whatever it is called) from PHB2 etc.

a pit with water in it.

Make the pit 100 feet deep, half full of green slime. Or grey ooze. Or metal-eating acid. Or, dwarven spirits (talk about drowning in one's drink...). Or, even worse, Elven wine!

Make it with a concealed cover, then put an illusion of the floor over it (have to disbelieve the illusion before you can sniff out the pit). Don't forget the anti-magic zone in the pit (no flying for you!). And, have a large stone slab (500+ pounds) cover the pit once someone is inside.

(did I ever mention I like pit traps with nasty stuff at the bottom?)
