Antimagic Field: two questions.

First Post
1. Description says "field suppresses any spell or magical effect used within, brought into, or cast into the area, but does not dispel it". Does this prevent a spellcaster who is inside of the field from casting ranged spells whose effects occur outside of the field (rays, area effect spells, or others with ranges over 10')?

2. Can a weapon, ammunition, or armor be enchanted with an antimagic field? If so, would you use the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat along with the DMG table 7-33 under "Spell Effect" to determine the price?

The description says that the area within field is impervious to spells and spell-like abilities, which means that even if you could cast a ranged spell within the field, it couldn't penetrate the field in order to move beyond it.

Since the process requires you to bind magic into an item, and that magic is non-existent within the field, it seems pretty obvious that this can't work. You can't manipulate or control what isn't there.

EDIT: I read that second question as "can you enchant items within an antimagic field?"

D'oh! :o

1 Yes, you cannot use magic in the AMF.

2 Yes, as sure as you can put an AMF in a spell storing ring for exemple.
