Thanks... Another question. It is 1 dose to apply it to a weapon. What if I want to apply the poison to ammunition (such as an arrow or shuriken)? Is it still 1 dose per 1 arrow or can I cover 50 arrows (shurikens) per dose?

You might look in Masters of the Wild, or the Complete Warrior, or even Song & Silence. I have none of those, however, so I can't say for sure. Just thinkin' out loud.

Speaking of which....

The purchase and possession of poison is always illegal, and even in big cities it can be obtained only from specialized, less than reputable sources.

So, is buying poison an evil act? The deepwood sniper has poison use. Does that make her an evil character? The only other PrCs I know about that have poison use are the assassin and the blackguard.

There are poisons with effects other than lethality. There are plenty of poisons that damage stats other than Con. Should these be illegal? I can see how a ranger who is acting as a game warden might want a tranquillizer and some way of delivering it.

I guess my (tangential) question is, does illegal equal evil?

Not really. It doesn't even equal Chaotic, since the law of that land might be corrupt to begin with. At best, illegal = neutral.
