Any adventures feature a cloud giant's cloud castle?

Talking about the old JG module Under the Storm Giant's Castle has got me thinking. Does anyone know of any other modules that feature a floating cloud castle? Preferably one that was ruled over by a good cloud giant. It would be nice if it were 3.5 and currently for sale but OOP stuff is at least something.

It seems weird since cloud castles are one of the original things in D&D; there was even one on the first Monster Manual. Yet, I don't think I've ever seen one in print.

The Rod of Seven Parts boxed set has a really nice map of a cloud giant flying castle. It is a full color poster map (if I remember correctly). The entire cloud giant family is also detailed in that part of the adventure, as well as the wedding guests.

I noticed that this adventure is also at RPGNow for $5.00. Anyone know if said map is in the PDF? I guess for $5 it's worth taking the chance.

There's an old 1st Ed AD&D module that fits the bill. UK7: Dark Clouds Gather.

Fantastic adventure. I've got it, had a blast running it back in 1e and I used the maps very successfully in a 3e adventure I ran called "the door in the air" (read about it in my .sig!)

Dungeon #14 (?)- one of the mid teens issues any way- had an adventure featuring cloud giants-"Palace in the Sky" Was supposed to involve negotiation to stop the cloud giant raids but my players snuck in, killed all the giants and then spent the next couple of years defending the castle from all and sundry!

I once ran an adventure where a millstone was stolen from a town, which was going to cause the entire area to suffer without it. the party tracked it back to a cloud castle. then they did something weird - they walked up and knocked on the door.

"Hello, we're exterminators! do you have any pests in your home?"

The giant did indeed and kept the party busy all night killing giant moths in the closet, all manner of vermin and things in the pantry. When they got done and the sun was rising the giant offered them breakfast... and they saw it crack a golden egg! they heard the other cloud giant approaching, the one that actually used the millstone to grind bones for his bread!

The group asked if they could just have the uncooked eggs and scurried on out, especially since the party determined that they could buy a millstone and still make a profit. Funny how fast you can do math when you really need too!

Well I have it on pdf but I've never ran it. I checked and it has all of the maps but I couldn't tell which one would be the cloud castle map. But if there is a cloud castle in the module, then the pdf has the map for it.

A year or so back I wrote an adventure featuring an insane Cloud Giant king who woke up one morning, looked outside, and his entire nation- that is, the nation he ruled on the elemental plane of air- was all gone. He was alone, in his massive cloud giant castle, with nobody to turn to for advice but his talking harp and golden-egg-laying hen. (As it turned out, an odd planar anomaly occured, throwing him and his castle onto the material plane, and that same planar anomaly had effects elsewhere in the following adventures.) Then, one day, he hears a knock on the door, and finds several tiny little adventurers claiming to have climbed up a beanstalk to get to his castle...

Yes, that's right. I made an adventure out of Jack & the Beanstalk.

Dungeon magazine had one early on...Dungeon 16 iirc. Palace of the Sky.

also try Dungeon 64 or so. with 2 cloud giant chiefs

and UK7

and M2

and the JG

and Mayfair Role Aids had a Giant series, but i can't recall if it included Cloud Giants.

edit: i forgot about the Liberation of Geoff and rod of 7 parts adventures. and heck i've got them partially slated for a session this weekend. :o

My players really dug that adventure. It showed them that "giants are people too." ;)

Rpga

The RPGA's Living Greyhawk campaign has a module out called Dark Clouds Over Istivin. It features a cloud giant castle and an interesting plot. It can be expanded upon to lengthen it for a homeplay campaign, if you aren't interested in LG and just want to use it as source material.
