Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I bought boxes of Aberrations and didn't find a single fishy-man! How am I supposed to have battles in my bathtub?

Yeah. Uncommons were fairly hard to come by in Aberrations. I think I only have one Sahuagin myself, and it was sent to me...

Cheers!

I fought tooth and nail on Ebay to get four and a repaint promo to be their leader. I've got fewer sahaugin than almost any other core monster race, despite them being one of my favorites.

Did you ever get any deep spawn or wave spawn from the now defunct mageknight game? They were very good for lithe fishmen. The deep spawn was with the game from the begining and was one of the best sculpts for its time. The wave spawn was a sea devil with heavy borrowing from middle age depictions of devils.

I've actually got 2 wave spawn in my box of not-ready-for-the-table minis. The problem is that both tend to bend over quite a lot -- does the boiling water trick work for Mage Knight minis as well?

The older one has a decent sculpt, but I really don't want to repaint it when I have medium sahaugin already.

Stirges and mummies please.
Lots of stirges.

Mummies(hopefully common ones) are pretty much a lock for Desert of Desolation, the fall set.

We can probably also safely guess that a few sphinx will probably make it into that set as well.

Now that I look forward to! (Though I wouldn't mind a few of the huge dragons becoming available again. Or the giants.)

Yeah but I want to run my desert game this summer ;)

At the same time though I can't see WotC reprinting any of the first 3 sets. Compared to the latest sets, the paint and sculpt jobs on the early few sets are pretty ordinary. I think they would be better off just making resculpts of the older minis. I think that they would sell better and the public in general would like them more.

I would also be surprised if WotC reprinted the earliest sets . . . but if the did they paint jobs would be up to current standards, not original standards. The sculpts, of course, would be the same.
