Any good Scifi+cyberpunk rpgs?

Mekton Zeta (the latest incarnation of Mekton) is Fuzion.

Bubblegum Crisis is most definitely a Fuzion product.

Champions: New Millenium was also a Fuzion game.

Sorry Hellhound, Mekton Zeta is NOT Fuzion, its good olde Interlock. How I wish that Mekton Zeta were converted to Fuzion. The others....you are correct on.

Guess I'm becoming a Fuzion guru now :)

Funny- I never saw that many differences between CP2020 and Fuzion. Then again, I only ran CP once, and that was only for a few sessions. I love 2020, but never really followed the metaplot, so I'm sort of behind the times with the setting updates.

I'm not sure how well I'll like the new one, as it sounds more post-apocalyptic and I've never been a huge fan of that genre. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I do want to check out Ex Machina, I've heard a lot of good stuff about it. The world-net setting (IOSHI? Something like that) sounded particularly cool.

re: Ex Machina d20

Unfortunately, no, I don't know (if it is d20 modern or other).

I was talking to Mark about it at Origins, but we didn't get into specifics. It is being released in the fall (late Sept / early Oct), but the rest of the time I spent with him was at night clubs, so we didn't do much gaming talk.

But, he is the king of getting you past the lineup at a night club. We all just wandered in, skipping the line up and the cover charge at abusy club on a Friday night after Mark dropped a name and explained that his group wasn't too big (only slightly more than a dozen of us). :)

We've added cyberpunk elements to Traveller with no problems. It gives you the hardcore space adventure and the different alien races. And the setting is so huge, you can put in just about anything you want -- there's a star system for it somewhere.

How about Fading Suns? The D20 version was more recent, i think, but i hear that the older system is just fine. Its not very cyberpunkish, though. Its more Dune'ish i'd say.

Not the Mekton Zeta I have. :)

Bubblegum Crisis is most definitely a Fuzion product.

Maybe a newer version than I know then?
Don't have it myself, but the one I have seen was not, IIRC.

Champions: New Millenium was also a Fuzion game.

Right, but that's not Champions. Ok, maybe I'm a bit too picky there. :heh:

ahhh...isn't that what he said? The fuzion rulesets for those games he didn't like. He didn't say anything about the original games. I thought the Champions: New millenium books looked good and had better writing, but the fuzion system just didn't do it for the vast majority of people.

That might very well be. I was mostly wondering because of Mekton Zeta, which clearly is not Fuzion, that he maybe mixed something up there. :)

Bye
Thanee

Ewww. If what chimeramag says is true, I won't like cyberpunk v3 at all. They've strayed very far from the genre, and I don't like the new setting premise even on its own.
