I am in Excalibur a lot, actually.

Every SAT morning, for my weekly Babylon-5 Wars game.... picking up new RPG material.... hanging out with the crew...

I am from Cedar Rapids as well, although I spend the school year in Ames. Both have plenty of DnD players from what I have seen. The group I started playing with in Ames has grown so large that it split into three games.

PS Hey Victim, are planning on running a game for AMESFA next fall? Just curious because I am thinking of running a game that is already full and may fall on Monday nights due to time constraints of the players so I am thinking we may need DMs for the club.

Yes! I am from Ames. And I am staying this summer.

I used to go to Excalibur but everytime I went there it seemed like I got weird stares from the guy behind the counter...

Oh yes, and AMESFA is the root of all evil!!!

Well, I have to say being the treasurer of the Guild of Wargamers and Roleplayers.

Unofficially I say "Game on!"

I'm never quite certain why supposedly I'm not supposed to like AMESFA. It had something to do with CYCON that happened years ago. Could somebody fill me in???

Justin (owner of Excalibur games) gave you funny looks? Don't mind him. He is a teddy bear. Really. Especially after his daughter was born.

But with people like Abe hanging about the place, it is really a nice example of a fairly decent FLGS.
