Any news out of PAX East?

Connorsrpg is right! I dragged the thread off-topic. Back on track, please.

To the best of my knowledge no new D&D news was released at PAX East. I did see the only two boxes of Dungeon Command existing in the continental US -- the others are on a ship somewhere between here and China - and they looked pretty damn nifty.

Learn to Play D&D seemed to be going briskly. WotC ran over 32 tables of D&D Next playtests, and the open gaming area was completely packed the whole time.

I have seen the video. Wasn't there another seminar mentioned regarding DMing or some such? Or was this the only seminar where info re the next iteration?

There was another seminar on DM advice. I went to the equivalent seminar at Pax Prime, which granted was before the announcement, but I'd think it would be pretty similar. It was basically an hour long q&a with wizards staff about how they run their own games. I imagine most questions were either system neutral or 4e focused, and they would pass off questions about 5e to be more appropriate to the other seminar.

Paizo will be fine. Their products are superb, and worst case? I'd be freakin' shocked if I couldn't pick up most adventures right now and convert on the fly to D&D Next. One of the glorious things about Paizo is that they're small, nimble, and very very smart. I do not think this is going to be a case of people picking either/or between D&D and Pathfinder fans.
Are you saying Paizo is like a halfling rogue/wizard?

Perhaps they should update their mascot....
