Any Offical Answer on wether Potions can be Delivered via "The Other End"

Ok,

Do to an incidnet with a Magical "Mage-Lock" Gag and a Nat 1 on a Dispel Check and some Drow Slavers....

The party's mage is in need of some potions, which do to the Magical Gag (designed to prevent and Verbal Spells) has presented a dilema.

Fortunatly, the Party always looks at the Sunny Side of things (Or Southern Side of things).

To be blunt:

Is there anything Official about whether Brew Potion can also be termed Brew Enema?

(I'm not sure which way the Mage is hoping this thing goes).

Officially, I'm pretty sure that potions have to be drunk, but nothing, absolutely nothing, should stand in the way of a magical enema. I say, "GO FOR IT!"

As long as they took the feat "Brew Sapasitory (not sure of the spelling)" then go for it. As per the RAW, I don't think it would be allowed.

If it was, it must have got blocked up....

Anyway, I'd have thought that Craft Wondrous Item used to make something in the form of a big tablet could also be an option.....

Just on the off chance that this was actually a serious question,

A potion is a magic liquid that produces its effect when imbibed. Magic oils are similar to potions, except that oils are applied externally rather than imbibed.

The user merely removes the stopper and swallows the potion or smears on the oil.

The potion must be swallowed.
(all from the "Potions and Oils" section of the DMG)

So a potion must be administered orally. An oil could be applied to "the other end" but be sure to check the label, which says "For external use only".

By RAW, no.

However ... it's not going to unbalance anything if you let them.

I'd let them just on the ingenuity factor.
