By RAW, no.

However ... it's not going to unbalance anything if you let them.

I'd let them just on the ingenuity factor.

I agree on this one ... Hell if they could come up with it, let them do it.

Have someone make a Will save to do it ...

Well as far as "official" goes. . . .

Age of Worms (100% Official Content per the cover) has Filge using "syringes" to deliver potions.

So I would say there is at least a precedent that a different delivery system could be used (same number of actions though).

I do like the sound (and feel) of oils better though. . . .

Ok,

Do to an incidnet with a Magical "Mage-Lock" Gag and a Nat 1 on a Dispel Check and some Drow Slavers....

The party's mage is in need of some potions, which do to the Magical Gag (designed to prevent and Verbal Spells) has presented a dilema.

Fortunatly, the Party always looks at the Sunny Side of things (Or Southern Side of things).

To be blunt:

Is there anything Official about whether Brew Potion can also be termed Brew Enema?

(I'm not sure which way the Mage is hoping this thing goes).

RAW aside, this rings a bell. For you conspiracy buffs, it is rumored Marilyn Monroe was murdered. Apparently (according to the conspiracy) somebody gave her a barbiturate enema which was strong enough to give her an overdose.

So if she died from that, I don't see why the wiz in question couldn't benefit from the alternate application of the potion.

Thanks,
Rich

Dragonstar has a feat called Brew Injection. Essentailly the same as Brew Potion, but allows the 'potion' to be used on any creature, regardless of status.

There is a class ability of the Blood Magus that allows him to circulate a potion in his bloodstream until such a time as he chooses to use it. I think between the existence of such a specialized class ability and the RAW I would say, unfortunately, "no."

However, I'm a big fan of creativity, and might allow a partial effect to kick in after a few rounds, maybe some kind of wild-magic type effect.

Complete Arcane has alternate potion uses. They talk about small blocks that you snap. I ran a game where I had some characters use small animal skulls and they had to break them to get the magic. If it doesn't actually have to be drunk, I don't see why it can't be shoved up the butt and used. Though, in all honesty, there's something wrong with your players.

You can add new ways to take a "potion" - some alternate formulation, but you probably do not want to open the door to using things (potions and others) as you may be starting down the "slippery slope" where you need to constantly makes rulings on whether things will work some other way than the norm.

I'd allow healing potions to be aplied to injuries, but not this unless the whole game was being played for ****s n' Giggles would I allow an enchanted enema.
