Any Offical Answer on wether Potions can be Delivered via "The Other End"

A standard potion, no.
Curious: why not?

I agree that your ruling corresponds to the one given in the 3.0 FAQ, but I'm curious as to your reasoning. It would seem to limit player creativity. For example: if they instead decided (in an urgent situation) to make a healing roll to perform an impromptu tracheotomy (Or possibly pour it down the nose, etc.) in order to administer a potion, it seems like you ruling would also disallow that.

If the rules don't address something, and it still seems possible, I'd at least roll for it. Potions are considered "use activated" items after all, and (per the dictionary) absorbing something can be construed as "imbibing" it, so I might allow for normal human physiology here.

The rules neglect to say this but: oils are for spells that target objects, while potions are for spells that target creatures.

For the OP: this questions takes us outside the rules (thankfully), but there is real life precedence for drugs, alcohol, coffee, etc. being effectively administered that way without any modification. I would allow it (possibly with reduced effect, or possibly using the potion miscibility tables here somehow).

Loved the 1e Potion Miscibility table. My Anti-Paladin drank an invisibility or healing potion, don't remember which, while under the effects of a polyself potion. Permanent polymorph self in effect! yeehaw!

Waited until the kids went to bed and googled this. Drugs, alcohol, coffee, etc can all be delivered this way. Apparently it enters the blood stream quicker than if taken orally.

This would be one of those occasions to ignore the RAW and let examples from real life be the basis to allow the characters to do this.

Thanks,
Rich

People here sure are inventive. And sick. :p

More disturbingly, imagine the next step: First, the drow prevent you from drinking potions, then you find another way in. What orifice do you think the drow will seal next? :]

Just for the sake of being a pedant:

en·e·ma –noun Medicine/Medical. 1. the injection of a fluid into the rectum to cause a bowel movement.

sup·pos·i·to·ry –noun, plural -ries. a solid, conical mass of medicinal substance that melts upon insertion into the rectum or vagina.

I think it is the latter word you are looking for. . .

And as long as it was brewed for this specific means of administering it I would allow the "Brew Potion" feat to work for this.

Who knows? Didn't some people want side effects for magic, to make it scarier? It doesn't get much scarier than that. Priests of suffering would administer all their magic that way. "Oooh, you're hurt, let me... help you" "Shove it, priest." "Oh, I intend to, I really do!" :]

I'd agree with this, but only so long as the potion-equivalent were specifically brewed for use via this delivery method. A standard potion, no.

I should have specifically stated this, but yes, that's what I meant to imply.
