Any other HERO players around here?

I pains me to see such a fantastic system get so little publicity. I just was wondering if anyone here plays the HERO system, and what kind of game you play in (fantasy , space, champion , martial arts etc).

I played it yesterday. I run a superhero game (not set in the Champions world, but in my own homebrew one). Its a great system for that, but I have found it less satisfying for fantasy games.

The original BBB (Big Blue Book) was probably when I played it most. When Green Ronin came out with Mutants and Masterminds, my group and I were playing that fairly often, cutting down the Super Hero genre time we spent with the BBB. The other BBB, Big Black Book (5th ed?) also got some face time but by the time 2nd ed Mutants and Masterminds came out, we had pretty much stopped playing Hero.

When Hero went to the 6th edition and it was broken up into multiple books, no one I played with bought it. That was pretty much the end of Hero for us.

Big fan of HERO. I played since 3rd edition and I have both 5th and 6th editions.
