Any rules for lack of sleep?

I'm looking through the DMG for any rules on what happens when a character lacks sleep, but I'm not having much luck. Anyone know where they may be found?

Fatigue.... exhaustion.... and can be counteracted by an elixer known only as 'Coffee'....

Is there a spell out there known to remove the effects? Is it called Espresso?

Yes, I know of the conditions... but it doesn't tell you how you get them, only how to get rid of them.

Use the rules on force-marching, that would be similar to lack of sleep almost.

That doesn't transfer over very well, in my opinion.

AFAICS you don't need to sleep unless you become Fatigued, Exhausted, need to rest to regain your spells, or if you wish to gain the benefits of Natural Healing.

"AFAICS"?
Seems a bit reidiculous that players don't technically need sleep... Lack of sleep has massive effects on the body, it's not a minor thing.

Sorry about that AFAICS means "As far as I can see". I found the lack of rules on when a character suffers penalties from lack of sleep annoying as well. One of the characters in my game is Large and has fast healing. He pullls the rest of the party in a cart. Every time the party travels he uses a Forced March and gos with out sleep. I have tried to find some rules that would prevent this but I have not found any and I do not want to house rule such a minor point.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but if a character sleeps in medium or heavy armour, they are fatigued the next day. It seems not too farfetched to apply the same penatly to people who go without sleep. If you really need a mechanic, I'd say something like the forced march mechanic (with a penalty of becoming fatigued or even exhausted instead of taking non-lethal damage) might be appropriate, but I'll leave it up to you to come up with a reasonable time scale after which fortitude saves have to be made.
