Any software like this for gaming table?

Bourbon and Dice
First the basic information. I have access to a computer projector from work. It wouldn't be to difficult for me to get my hands on a table with a frosted glass top. I can mount the projector under the table and turn the table into an instant battle matt. I could just project the map and use it but, and here's where the question comes in, I want to do more.

I would like to have the map projected on the table, but when in a dungeon environment, I want it to be blacked out. Then as the characters move, the map get's revealed to them. Pretty much simulating the "fog of war" that is used in most computer RPG's. This way, Anything not within thier light radius will be hidden from them.

Does anyone know of anything that could come close to this?

Have a look at http://www.nbos.com/products/screenmonkey/screenmonkey.htm

Screenmonkey supports a dual monitor setup (use projector as second monitor I guess) and amongst other things has a fog of war function.

Don't really know of anything off the top of my head but Powerpoint allows hidden object, they appear at a click, this or something like this may work for you.

Look no further than kLoOge.Werks.

The link below are a number of screenshots taken from kLoOge.Werks, along with some text describing what the pictures represent. Clicking on any of the thumbnails will open a larger version of the image (be prepared: most of them are quite large!) in a separate window.

Here's a link to a download that contains more than thirty (30) videos that introduce and explain many of the new features contained in kLoOge.Werks 2.0.

If you have Adobe Photoshop, it wouldn't be hard for a moderately-experienced user to import the map into the program, and create extra layers of plain black space that cover up each individual room.
