Yeah, a good friend of mine had shingles some years back and it absolutely wiped him out. He still bears the scars - quite literally. It really can be very nasty indeed.

I hope his doctor knows about Tamiflu's (anit-viral's) effectiveness on shingles and to have Gary take another Chicken Pox vaccine after he recovers. Since Shingles is essentially the adult version of Chicken Pox.
