My thoughts on Law/Chaos
Ask a person an ethical question, "If you were in XXX situation, what would you do?" Then, after they answer, ask them why.
If it takes them over a minute to answer because they have to explain the specifics of their ethical thoughts, ie "Kant says that an ethical decision is one that, etc, etc", then that's Lawful.
If they shrug their shoulders and go, "Because it's right" then that's chaotic.
Anything else will probably fit into neutral.
Just makes the system a lot easier to handle. Law is when one uses logic and ethics to guide themselves, chaos is when they rely on their emotions or gut instinct.
