well, my girlfriend's extreme obsession with the books and the fanfic (gah) had led to be going with her to the harry potter symposium in walt disney world in july.

thats right. hundreds of adult harry potter geeks coming together in one place to give lectures about various themes and concepts of the harry potter universe.

so i'm re-reading the books again and keeping my notes for my own hypothesis of the future so i can hold my own in the conversations.

does that count as a yes???

Not particularly, but I have the feeling it'll be looking forward to me. You see, June 21 is my birthday, and even though I'm not nearly as deranged about Potter as my mom and sister are, I'm probably going to get it for my birthday.

blackshirt5: far as i know fictionalley.org is one of the main sites for harrypotter fanfic. but i'm sure a quick google search will also give you more. the popular one, that my gf anxiously awaits the next chapter of each time is the Draco trilogy. I think the first part is called Draco Dormiens or somesuch.

Man, "Order of the Phoenix" is going to be thicker than "Goblet of Fire". I can hardly believe it.

Teenager hormones were starting to raging up on "Goblet", so I can't wait to see what the 15 year old wizards are up to now. More death and tragedy are welcome to.

Don't you just love how the series keep getting darker and darker?
