The Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary is a very, very good book.
What, you wanted more then that?
Well, most of the monsters are low-CR'ed, and there are a lot of fractional HDed creatures. The art is black and white, but better then most of the stuff in the Creature Collections. The biggest rules problem is the DCs don't always follow the formula of 10+1/2 HD+ relavent ability mod.
The book is very well designed, with interesting (and unique) concepts, a good layout, the handiest appendices I've ever seen in a monster book and some excellent adventure seeds.
This ranks, IMO, with Tome of Horrors as the best 3rd party monster book out there.
