Anyone buy Battlehive yet?

This certainly doesn't qualify as a review, but a friend of mine just bought one and he loves it. He has mentioned to me that its size is perfect and the configurability is awesome (in terms of swapping out layers for books).

I think it's pretty cool, but I like to carry lots of books and I'm not really into minis. ;)

Salutations,

If I could get the box without the logo and writing on it, then I would snatch one up in a moment. Even better if I could get it in different colors.

Highly recommended

I got a Battlehive for my birthday. My wife ordered it through a Comic Store Dealer and it took a while to get. Got it in last week. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but after taking it to my game for the first time last night I decided I liked the size and if it were any bigger, it would be impossible to carry with the shoulder strap. It's just big enough to fit standard size hardback Core Rulebooks.

The product seems to be durable and well constructed, but only time and wear will tell I suppose. I'm using it mostly for my D&D books/supplements/notes, game materials, but I've got one tray of miniatures and the dice tray in there as well. Right now I'm packing BoVD, PHB, DMG, MM, MMII, Epic HB, Print outs of BOEM, BOEM III, along with current adventure notes, a module and the aforementioned stuff.

The Mini trays are very nice and easy to customize. There are two depths of trays.

Whether using it as I do for minimal minis and all your game stuff, or solely for mini storage I would recommend The Battlehive.

Can It hold large figures (like dragons and such.) If it can't, how do you guys transport large figure such as these? (other then making your own transport.

Man, I hate to say this -

I have both a Battlehive and an Armytransport and I think the Army Transport is better. I hate to say it, because Army Transport is from New Wave Miniatures and they are legendary for poor customer service.

The New Wave bag has more space and the same kind of foam inserts. Despite being larger, I also think the Army Transport is more convenient to carry.

The Battlehive is nice - it's just I think the Army Transport is just a bit better.

I should mention the Army Transport is about $10.00 more.

I have the Army Transport too . . . a very similiar product and I love it! But it's not from New Wave . . . you can buy it at New Wave but the company that makes the Army Transport is Sabol Designs. You can order direct off of their website, or your local FLGS could probably order it for ya!

For carrying miniatures only, I agree Army Transport is better. But for roleplayers, Battlehive wins because rpg books don't fit into the Transports. As a bonus, the accessory tray can easily be used as a dice-rolling tray.

My wife just ran up to the store and got mine tonight (OK, it's OURS...) It looks pretty cool. I like the 1/4 inch squares, as you can really get the minis to fit nicely. Of course when my minions play I'll have to be a bit more anal about getting the minis back into the right slots.

I'll be hauling gear to Sundays game in the Hive, just to give it a spin, and I'll give more feedback then.
