Anyone check out d20 Aberrant yet?

Really? And all this time I thought I have this impulse buying compulsion disorder. It got phased out since I already reached my 31st birthday (some time in Y2K).

Yeah, picked up d20 Aberrant. I must say I am ticked they can't even include a character sheet with the book.

on the book itself, yeah, the classes and prestige classes suck, theyre so narrow.
The background feats are sorta okay, but the whole power slot thing sucks.
You need to save up one power slot per power level.
You get a power slot every other level. so you'd have to be 5th level if you wanted your first power to be a level 3 power.
They also don't take you through character creation, so there are no good examples.
And they don't even have like a recommended character generation method, a point buy or 4d6, just choose your own whatever your comfortable with, but they don't even mention it, like attributes just appear magically on your non-existant character sheet.

I asked for it for my birthday because I liked the original Aberrant, as I like all superhero games, but the whole d20 superhero game thing ( Aberrant and M&M ), they both just have things about them that rub me the wrong way about their powers and power levels.

Aberrant again has a superhero template, which lists an ECL adjustment as 0.
Monkey. Superhero-Monkey.
ECL for both: the same.
should be like +2 or +3. it doesn't matter to PC's cause youre all going to be superheroes. but if youre taking down thugs, things are going to be a lot easier than if youre taking down another super hero.

Uhm... Isn't printing attribute generation methods prohibited by the d20 licence?

Well, they can recommend a method as long it is referred to the ones in the PHB.

But when it comes to character creation rules, it cannot be printed in the Covered Product. Just reference it to PHB.
