Anyone else getting anti-4E spam?

Today I just got an email that was essentially trashing 4E and heavily plugging Paizo's new system. This is from someone that I don't know and, as far as I remember, never had any dealings with (some company called Dogstar Industries in Utah).

I honestly can't believe I actually got spam on the subject of RPGs. I think I prefer the standard spam that I can easily sort through. Worse, it's someone trying to convince me that a system is bad and another is good (apparently a retailer even).

Is the "to 4E or not 4E" split so bad that these sort of tactics are being pushed? Anyone else gotten something like this?

Nope, just stuff about watches, prescription drugs, relationships, and the other usual stuff. I never get the cool spam....

You never got the time traveler email? That one is great! Surreal, and a lot crazy, but a great plot seed for modern day weirdness games.

Just checked. All I got was something about working at home, pee-pee enlargement an some sort of loans.

...sigh. Had this same email address going on 10 years now. You'd think I'd get SOMETHING good. :p

Let's see, I used to get spam about penis enlargement, it took me a while to figure out what it was about because it included a short story paragraph in it, I guess to beat spam blockers. Also, a few years ago I got a few adds for Viagra and the like. :p They should invent something that's the opposite of Viagra, sell it to teenagers, it would save allot of embarrassment and uncomfortable pants.

I got the same email. The return email address is from optimumdesigns.com but the sig at the bottom says Dogstar Industries Inc. I have no idea where they got my email address from since I use a different one for Paizo.

I'm pretty sure Dogstar Games is a dealer who sells, at least in part, on eBay. I think I've purchased stuff from them on eBay before and then started getting their annoying spam . . . . although it was always related to buying game products, not strange edition bashing . . .

Check you eBay history (if you shop there), I bet you bought something from them at one point! Reply back and tell'em they're punks!

Would someone mind posting the contents of this email (minus the addresses, of course)? I'm eager to see what d20 spam looks like. :D

You are correct. I did some research and found that I had bought something from them 4 years ago. Needless to say, I had forgotten (and I do buy a lot on eBay).

Even so, the negativity from a retailer is surprising. Definitely not the sort of company I tend to give my business. Trashing any game to someone who might be a fan of it is always a bad business move.

Maybe. Let me think about it (I'm always wary of posting the contents of email).
