Anyone going to the D&D con this month?

D&D XP is January 26-29th in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Is anyone here going?

I put this in the 4e board because that's probably going to be the focus of the con, and also I think someone here would be more likely to do a favor for me.

Would anyone out there be willing to ask a Dev something for me? I can't make it, but I still want to express my desires to the 4e designers who will be giving panels there. Just what I would like to see re: a class/build, and a book.

I wish they would move the convention year to year. There's little chance of my making it to Indiana, but I could potentially make something on the east coast, preferably in the New York tri-state area. I mean I appreciate WotC presence at the NY Comicon and all, but they need exclusive D&D shows on the road! And overseas!

wotc doesnt run DDXP. they are invited but they gave up control of it awhile ago. it is now run by baldman games (dave christ).

This may be of some appeal. Boston is not too far to venture from the NY Area

PAX East 2012 is scheduled for April 6–8 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Travelling gaming conventions have issues. Origins found it limited their growth, and finally anchored after 20 years of roaming and grew like a weed.

I'll be there DMing whatever I am told to DM, and going to whatever seminars draw my interest. For the record, Baldman Games is also running any edition of D&D that a DM wants to run.

Well nevermind. NO sense in saying "Hey I'd like to see these book/class" if they're abandoning 4e.
