Wizards of the Coast has been away from major conventions for several years. However, they will be at Gen Con in full force. Here are the events they are holding.

D&D Official USPS Stamps Unveiling: Send First Postcard with a Tiamat Stamp (or a Purple Worm, or a green Dragon, or a ...)!
The Postal Service will unveil (10) DUNGEONS & DRAGONS stamps at Lucas Oil Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. EDT. Greg Breeding, the art director for the stamps, Josh Herman, Head of Art for D&D, Jeremy Crawford, and Chris Perkins will be available for autographs at 10 a.m. EDT Thursday, immediately following the short unveiling ceremony.

Retail sales and cancelations (postmarks) of the stamps will be available for each of the four days of the convention on the west concourse of Lucas Oil Stadium. This is a non-ticketed sale so it's first come, first served after the unveiling.

Watch D&D Live
On Saturday at Gen Con 2024, see D&D in action at the Live Game in the Indiana Roof Ballroom, featuring an eclectic group of D&D superstars so amazing we’re keeping their identities a secret to unveil at the event itself. They will take the stage and blow your freakin’ mind. Or their shot at greatness with a roll of a nat one. Definitely one of those two. All 500 event tickets are spoken for already, but like so many great D&D adventures, legions of fans can experience this inspiring tale when the game is posted the following week on D&D YouTube.

I mean, people change. And someone who's lived hundreds of years can, reasonably, change a lot. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Quests from the Infinite Staircase (which goes over some of her history in the Lost Caverns section) don't whitewash her past as Iggwilv, but also show she's no longer the same evil witch of old.
Can you elaborate on that? I know in Vecna they say she's the earlier somewhat less evil version, though iirc she was pretty foul even then. But you're saying she's had some sort of redemption arc?

That is very involved spoilers for
The Wild Beyond the Witchlight
but in short, yes she has a sort of redemption arc...to Chaoitic Neutral.

Like, isn't she the "wife" of Grazzt?
And she spent her early life seducing and murdering her way up the wizard ladder. And yeah she and graz'zt went on to vengeance mind control hard-R one-another while fking up tens of thousands of lives in the process.

The Witchlight stuff doesn't really.. I donno... She removed memories I guess... Weird choices IMO.

Weird, but it is a turn from CE to CN...not that big a leap.

IIRC, she fled to the Feywild to escape some of the entities she pissed off over the years and was eventually infected/transformed a bit by the power of the Feywild. So in some sense she is a different person since relocating in the Feywild.

You can also take it as a big ruse, she is only acting “good” to do more evil in the background.

PS - what is your issue with reformation of a fictional character? I’ve seen you bring this up many times and it really seems to bother you.

Yeah it came up with the Vecna adventure. I don't have issues with character reformations in general, but I thought Iggwilv/Natasha/etc. was a strange choice when there are so many other non-crazy evil female magic characters to source from like Laeral Silverhand; heck, she did some pretty evil stuff (though it wasn't her choice).

Tasha just seemed so irredeemably evil, intentionally and without regret, that to make light of her and pitch her to a lot of newer players as "this smirking quirky witch" on lots of books and art, is off-putting.

It's a matter of taste of course, but I reserve my right to gripe about it 😅

That dragon is so screwed.

Also, they keep putting Tasha in heroic imagery... she's pretty insidious, astroturfing how really fk'in evil she is.

Tasha isn't evil, she's a younger version of Iggwilv who has not reached that stage.

Like her steps are Tasha Chaotic Neutral, Iggwilv Chaotic Evil,
Zybilna Chaotic Neutral (though only through literally excising her more evil traits and manifesting them as Demons she put away, and this was done to prevent people from realizing Zybilna was Iggwilv by acting very differently)
