Anyone have trouble getting onto yahoo?

No problem here. Checked some email, and a couple of groups. I've got the GameChannel open right now as a supplement to having the Jets/Chargers game on right now and it's working just fine. Been looking up various player stats through their fantasy league interface all night, as it struck me to do so.

My password magically stopped working about a month ago and the wife's did the same a few days later.

Took about 2 1/2 weeks to get everything sorted out with Yahoo, especially since their support came up with new "security" questions that I had never seen before and therefore was unable to answer correctly.

After much consternation and an email chain longer than my arm with their support folks I finally got the problem resolved.

I can get into the TV listings barely. But I can't log in to my 'gateway' page. So I can't check all the news, read my favorite comic strips, find out what's on at the local movie theaters, and so on. :( I can even download my email, from the accounts linked to my sbcglobal.net account. But I can't get into the non-linked accounts, dang it...

It's probably some DNS problem, I bet. :( :( :(

Bugger all. It took 5 minutes to even pull up login.yahoo.com. And after another 7 minutes of waiting for my homepage (my.yahoo.com) to pull up, I gave up.

Are you guys yanking my chain, or is this just a regional thing? I thought Yahoo was based in the San Jose, CA, region? (Or was that eBay?)

I only ocassionally have problems with yahoo. I am on a wirless network connected through a cable modem. If I find myself waiting too long (about 30 seconds) for a webpage to load I simply refresh the page. Sometimes I have to refresh about 7-10 times. If that still doesn't work I just restart my computer. That always helps.

I've had no difficulties of late. I suppose I have to be using their central architecture to log on and visit non-local groups and the like, but I'm in New Zealand and they have localised functions for some stuff, like email.

Confusing!

Huh. Losts of problems getting on *here*, but not onto Yahoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I always thought those commercials were Farking annoying. Then they went off the air. Now I miss them. :( )
