Anyone in the Long Island area heading to Gencon?

I have never been to Gencon and I am really trying to get there this year. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Long Island, area that was heading out that wouldn't mind splitting traveling costs and hotel room with one more person. Nobody in my regular gaming group can go this year and I can't afford my own room. Thanks!

In one of the other GENCON threads it was discussed about taking the train, you may want to check that out.

You may also want to try and check at your local game store(s), it is possible that they can put you in touch with another gamers in your area going to GENCON.

Yeah, I looked into the train and it was more expensive than flying and would take a minimum of 20 hours. I was thinking more about the hotel. It is really expensive to get a hotel room just for yourself. I will definitely look into the hobby stores in the area though, that is a good idea.
