Have you ever played Star Wars in any of its incarnations?

Actually no, could you recommend a good Star Wars book for someone who has never played the game?

Right now I am committed to playing Creations End every week and am really looking forward to getting the book in the mail.

I'll probably end up picking this up down the line. Way to go Steelcitybeer07. you've succesfully recruited a purchaser, I hope you're working on commission.

By the way, you still haven't addressed the rule system, and it's been asked a couple of times. I understand it's different from other examples that were given, I understand you like dark games, and I understand it does....
a great job of "leaving no stone unturned" with regards to what fans of a religious horror game would want
But what system is it based on, or is it close to?

Also, I wonder if the subtitle (a religious horror game) will keep people away. Personally, I think that I would have worded that differently, to stay away from the negativity that the narrow minded and uninformed will undoubtedly spout off about.

No...no commission unfortunately...lol...! :(

The game uses three dice in a d20 system. An 8, 10, & 20 sided. With that, the writer definately encourages the Game Creator to step over the book guidelines more liberally than in other role playing games I've played. I personally liked the strategy and found it refreshing (made some encounters so much more enjoyable and "less predictable").

Some people may like rigidity in rules...if that is the case...then they probably won't like the system used in Creations End (unless the Game Creator wants block out the writer's suggestions on how to run Creations End).

I just hope the game reaches some level of success because I can see myself playing this longterm.

Like someone else asked earlier, what are the rules system supporting this game?

How would you say this game compares to others like In Nomine and Armaggedon? I have both of those and really enjoyed them.

Blood & Relics has proven to be the only supplement I've ever needed for this genre. It works with my favourite system (d20 Modern) and is open-ended enough to incorporate whatever else I want to throw in.

But that's just me... different strokes for different folks, and whatnot.

I feel a little "out of place" talking about the game so much. I am sure others who test played the game much longer would do a better job explaining things.

I can share with you the premise of the game...

After the eviction into darkness, Lucifer and his devils retreated into a pocket that opened up during the creation of everything (sun, world, animals, universe, etc) outside of heaven.

This of course, became hell.

To make this short, after spending eternities in hell, civil war broke out as fallen angels divided into factions right around the time of a new milliennium (which carries much significance in the game...as does the influence that Lucifer had on the events that unfolded during World War 2). Although Lucifer survived, he was unable to stop a massive exodus from Hell that resulted from the war.

Jumping past alot of important occurences...I can tell you that the factions established themselves within the social world of humans. Each faction carries their own secret agendas, yet each faction walks the "edge of a blade" in keeping prophecy from unfolding. Out of a desparate need for surival, the factions separate into two groups battling to control not only their fate but...unbeknownst to man...their own prophecy and progress toward Armageddon.

Well, that was a short enough description but it doesn't come anywhere close to revealing the incredible gaming environment, the politics between and within factions, the progression of "the war", or so many other things.

I will write a few of the other gamers that I know test played the game and turn them on to this site. Maybe they will give some more insightful answers.

Creations End is a fun game and definately brings out the best elements of the genre.
