Anyone looking forward to the Tour de France?

I could hardly bear to watch the crashes, but huge congratulations for Sylvain Chavanel; breaking free at, what, 17km? And then leading through to the finish. Great work, very impressive.

I am tired of every non-Armstrong supporter decrying his wins and declaring drugs are involved.

Ruined it for me...... that and the fact I no TV, lil' interest and only enjoy biking if I'm doing it.

But to each their own.

Trivia note: My dad (now in his eighties) still cycles 50 miles a week and meets every thursday with Phil Liggett, the ITV4 commentator. I'm highly proud of Dad.

Cavendish just doesn't have it this year...
Yeah, I'm surprised he caved that easily at the end of stage 3. He really did just give up towards the end there. He's obviously not in it for the green jersey this year. It really lessens my opinion of him that he isn't willing to give it his all even if it is clear that he isn't going to win, and that he talks big but doesn't have the ambition to chase after a leader's jersey.

Still, it is great to see some of the old names coming back for some truly great sprints. I had honestly thought I had seen the last of Robbie McEwen's great Tour sprints, and today's stage winner is old enough that he basically precedes my time of watching the Tour, but both made really good showings today. I'm really impressed.
