Anyone tried a Fighter / Warlock multiclass?

Just curious... has anyone here tried a fighter multiclassed as a warlock, such as in the Warlock Knights of Vaasa in the new FR books? I've got a player who's potentially interested in this, perhaps as far as going into warlock as a paragon path, but things look a bit difficult with no apparent ways to get the ability to curse.

We've tried a fighter / wizard and it worked out fantastically, but my first glance evaluation makes me think it won't work out quite as well here. Has anyone tried it, or seen it tried, and have any notes about it?

I think you'll probably have to house rules some things. I can't recall their shtick other than using The Iron. I'm not sure how Fighter/warlock (and Warlock/fighters work, but I've heard Paladins and warlocks mix well).
Ah, I'll just open the thing...
The Ironfell weapons may be a bit too powerful, unless one says that they add Radiant damage up to their +. (So a 16 Cha character can only add 1 radiant damage w/ a +1 weapon... dunno' how that nerf'd go over. Maybe on crits do the normal +1D6/+, but also allow full Cha mod as radiant damage or something)... I think a Paladin (possibly w/ a glaive) MCed Starlock, feat-swapped, but PPed into a Paladin path w/ some flavour adjustments should pretty much do it (Oh, and maybe Iron Sky Pursuit instead of challenge damage if the enemy moves away w/out attacking anyone... maybe w/ a feat?).

Hopefully someone w/ a few better suggestions will weigh in. I hope I'm wrong and that there's a totally sweet way to do it that I'm just not seeing. G'luck!

A player in my game is going this route...he combines his marking ability with the Fey Pact's Eyebite encounter power, to pretty awesome effect. If he had it as an at-will...well, I shudder to even think.

A fighter/warlock using a maul and Constitution-based star or infernal powers should work alright. (Since hammers are also Con-based, you can avoid MAD issues. And you want a maul rather than a warhammer + shield so you can quick-draw a wand to cast a spell, then sheathe it as a minor action and have both hands free for opportunity/immediate attacks while waiting for your next turn.) Summons of Khirad in particular looks like it would be a lot of fun on a fighter.

Balancing those ironfell weapons for player use would be difficult. It would probably be easiest to just use the Radiant magic weapon property from Adventurer's Vault. (Converts all damage it deals to radiant as a free action, and adds its + as an item bonus to damage when doing so.)
