D&D 5E (2014) Anyone using the Sidekick rules for PCs in their games?

Your "simpler classes" concept intrigues me.
I'm working on a idea where classes gain most of their abilities at level 1, same for archetypes. I also try to make (when possible) features more at-will, with less usage tracking. The idea is to make the ''fantasy'' behind the class available before level 10 ish. No way that signature features crucial to the theme of a class be gated behind 20 levels!

I also go over the whole class and remove features that I know will be forgotten at my table because they are too niche or dont come up often.
