Anyone who can do a final layout?

Okay, the 3.5-compliant guide is nearly ready! I have it in .doc format. Unfortunately I am no wizard at formatting and I am not able to get it properly into 2-column form. I get formatting errors I can't fix, and it is driving me up the wall.

I've also got about 60+ bits of decent enough art we can scatter throughout the book, and the tables will need to go into the doc as well.

Please note: The doc is 244 pages without the art or several pages worth of tables (which I have saved in a spreadsheet.) So it could be quite a task!!

Whoever does this will get a prominant credit in the, ah, Credits, if we end up using it :)

Anyone interested?

I'm sorry but I cannot do this. I only have Adobe Acrobat reader. I also cannot get Microsoft Word to format my documents properly on a regular basis.

I can proof read if that is useful.

Part of the problem is that when the different sections get put back together the formatting gets all screwy again (I already tried that, sadly).

It is admittedly a rather large file but I can arrange secure FTP access to whoever takes up the project, without opening up the whole site. So it can be downloaded at FTP rates at least...

I ended up doing a Save As to .txt format, then reopened that in Word. This removed all formatting. I am now going page by page and reapplying the formatting. So far, I'm having good luck getting the things I want in 2-column to work without making the stuff I don't 2-column as well. Might be ready, not including editing and artwork, in just a few days.
