"I'm sure your all very confused. It was necessary to bring you here, soon we'll return you to someplace very familiar to you. But I must tell you, your entire world is gone. My people learned many years ago that our world was not alone. There are an infinite number of earths each lain atop one another, each different in some subtle ways, some not so subtle ways. Something, or possibly someone, is destroying the walls between these worlds. As the walls break down things are thrown out and finally the world is gone. You were thrown from your respective worlds, We brought you here to find out why in our race to stop this before all worlds are destroyed."

I've hit upon an idea to allow me to use all my d20 Modern books.
And work in one of my favorite Alternity books, Tagents. That and watching old episodes of sliders has formed this game. I'm looking for 4-6 players. I'm insistant on "good" characters, not paladin, but just generally want to be a good person. If your looking to play a evil character, this is not the game for you. I'll keep submissions open till next Saturday the 8th, when I'll choose who's in based on what I want for this game. Looking for a pretty frequent posting rate. hopefully about 5 times a week.

Character possiblities are endless,
I have all the WOTC d20 Modern books, and will allow anything from any of them.
I can't wait to see what amazing characters you come up with.

I hope to see one character from a fantasy world, at least one from a higher tech level than our own, and more let your imagination run wild.

10th level.
28 point buy
Wealth Bonus = 11 + Starting Occupation Bonus + Ranks in Profession/2
Of course money won't transfer between worlds well, so buy what you want to have.
Books allowed: D20 Modern, d20 Past, d20 Future, Urban Arcana, d20 Apocolypse, d20 Cyberscape, d20 Future Tech,
I will allow 1 non-human with 4 players, 2 with 6.
Non-humans, can be anything from Urban Arcana, Franks, Moreues, Aliens, Robots.

Oooo...oooo...this sounds cool!

I'll give it a go!

I'm thinking perhaps a mutant from a posthuman/post-civilization world... I'll give d20 Apocalypse a look and see what I can come up with.

Offhand, are there any feats or rules for perhaps substituting level adjustments for mutation points? Or maybe some kind of class or PRC that gives mutation points as a class feature...

(I'm at work now, so I can't look yet. :))

Yeah me too. Definetly interested. I could well go with the character from bygone-ages who is totally at lost with all these people with strange magic (technology). Or then with the high-pl character.

Here's quick character consept. A musketeer from D20 Past.:

Due to a Time/Space rift, the reality from which Jacques de Polignac came lagged few centuries behind the timeline of most earths. Jacques was the youngest member of Garde de la Manche, the closest bodyguards of king of France. He was standing right next to the king when suddenly it seemed like the sun had swallowed up everything. The brightness and heat soon subsided and Jacques found himself standing in a very unfamiliar place.

Another note of interest.

Lt. Keane Sorutu was one of the few chosen for a special project when the United World Government found a solution for its military woes in 2005: the Autonomous Cybernetic Battle Trooper (who, despite their name, were still linked up to a central coordinating unit). These soldiers were bound to revolutionize the future of Warfare.

Unfortunately, the only thing to be revolutionized was the future of mankind after a seemingly minor conflict grew into the dreaded Nuclear War shortly after his creation.

With the Command Center taken out out by a direct hit, Lt. Sorutu and his team were left to fend for themselves in a post-apocalyptic world. In their struggle to maintain and rebuild some modicum of civilization the team was reduced man by man till only Keane was left.

And then he found himself somewhere else.

Karg the Ogre was born under unlucky stars. He was enslaved by the humans in his early youth, and sent to the gladiator schools. For years he knew only the savage ways of the Colloseum, fighting the elder races for the delight of the human conquerors. he became good at the slaughter, but never revelled in it. Then one day.

The revolt. For years we talked about it, made plan after plan. Shorazim the Elf was right, the humans would never let us go. Oh how they hounded us. We won two battles, and still they came. We fled to the mountains. Kharruzdam was so sure we could find help there. But after the slaughter at Thurrim's height, the dwarves would not pay with the blood of their women and children anymore, and we were asked to leave. Can't blame the dwarves for abandoning us. Why risk another city for a handfull. And still the humans followed us, like mad beasts on a scent. One by one we were killed. And now I lay the last of my friends to rest. Dawn comes. They'll be here soon. Better to die a free man then to live as a slave. You were right, Shorazim.

There's your fantasy character :D

Wow that is the kind of games I like!

Would you allow a human scientist? If so:

Many years of intense studies have make Aderajam, the most prestigious of egiptian scientist. For his own age, 1980, his discoveries, were almost to extraordinaries to be truth, or to be assumed as scientific realities.
A strange visitor with a stranger story.
His discoveries in the field of neurology, immunology and other human systems made him the object of strong controversies.
One day, staring empty minded over his notes for the next paper, he fell asleep.
But the world in witch he woke up, was "Slightly" different

I don't remember if there's such a thing in d20 Apoc, but d20 Future does indeed have such. The Nuclear Nomad is an advanced class on the last page of the Campaigns chapter in d20 Future. They get the option of either gaining mutations or radiation resistance as they progress in the class. They can get a minor mutation this way at 2nd and 5th level, and a minor or major mutation at 8th level. They don't need to take any drawbacks for these bonus mutations.

I'd also like to throw my hat in as an interested fellow, though I'm not sure yet. Busy today, but I'll decide tomorrow if I want to submit a character idea.

If you don't find something I'll house rule something in...

One thing of note to everyone, although some worlds may be far far advanced, or far far behind time is always the same. It's 2007 on every world. Don't let that damage your concept...it'll make it more fun, history just happened faster or slower on your world. gunpower wasn't found till much later? newton was hanged instead of publishing his works? ancient egyptions harnessed electricity and started the industrial revolution early? anything can happen.

Duly noted. :) (I think I am the only one to have used a specific year.)

Keane's world deviated during the Great War and never experienced another World War.
