"Apart from all worlds" [d20 Past, d20 Future, Sliders, Tangents, Dimension X]

Well, I have to say that I disagree a bit as it is. Most implants are hidden within his body and the two that would definitely have an influence on his appearance (armor and muscles) have been hidden (requiring a Spot check of DC 25 to even note their existence). So the only real discrepancy it that he moves a bit too fluid and graceful for a man of his size. (DX 20 and the increased reflexes are still attainable by ordinary humans.)

The piece he adjusted was his "monocle" which is part of his armor's targeting system. While it is indeed linked to Keane via a cybernetic link, this is a bit above the old CP2020 standard 'cable'.

The one thing clearly out of whack (his eyes) happenened because I liked the imagery, not because they are implants (still organic).

That being said, I really don't want to make a fuss about it. What do you fell/think about Mykael having come to the conclusion the only rational explanation - based on his own experience, Keane's performance and the fact that Keane apparently knew well enough what 'cybernetics' were in their initial meeting - is that Keane must be a cyborg, but without knowledge of the exact particulars?

Especially since your post already shows that Cyborg creation on Mykael's and Keane's earth seems to have gone through some radically different evolution.

Thanks,

Actually in Mykael's background you will read that their cybernetic implants ran along the same lines. Mykael worked as a R&D and surgeon for a military funded company. It's what he did. He designed some of the newer implants. Think of it like a metal worker or a painter. The outside can look like something else, but they just know what is on the inside. Sorry if it offends you or upsets you, but that is how I am playing Mykael. He knows that you have cybernetic implants.

Oh and if I used the term cyborg I didn't mean it, sorry. I meant to say that he is "enhanced" which is pretty obvious when compared to the other characters.

I was more referring to this part "To know that your thought patterns are dependant upon what program you have. I know enough to short circuit it or even reprogram you. Imagine waking up to a blank memory chip, or finding that your cybernetic enhancements would rather harm you than help you." - most of which doesn't really apply to Keane. No program, no chips to wipe and even the computer in his brain isn't much more than a glorified communication system.

It doesn't offend or upset me, but I have to admit that it feels a bit strange that Mykael has OoC knowledge he couldn't normally come by "just because". But as I said above, I really wan't to make a fuss about it and I think we can all do without having some sort of "classic" PbP drama. :)

I know now where I stand and life goes on.

The IC part your talking about was basically all bluff. Like you said, he doesn't know the extent of your cybernetics. I kinda don't have a good example as to how to explain it. The best one I can think of is like when you know a child (or someone else) is lying, so you "pretend" like you know what is going on to try to get them to admit it. Yeah, that example sucked. To be perfectly honest........... I don't think Mykael would be capable of what he said he could do. At least, not to that extent.

As for the drama part........ I agree. I have posted with you before and have no issue with you at all. You're a good person. Sides, no point in getting into a fight over a game. :)

EEK!

Sorry to hear that! (But, strangely enough, not that unwelcome [the moment of respite, not the computer dieing!] as I seem to be generally unable to post EN World anymore due to the extreme slow-downs.)
