Apologies from HinterWelt to RPG Objects and fans

What's interesting is the Publisher Info shows RPG Objects, but the drill-down menu at the top shows HinterWelt...

Linda/Bill, could it be because that product is in one of your bundles? http://enworld.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=28932&it=1
This is the thing. We do have a product for our Tales of Gaea Fantasy line called Another Man's Treasure. It is a city guide to rat catchers and one of the big port cities of Narheim. That said, RPG Objects has a product for their Darwin's World setting also called Another Man's Treasure. Where ours went and why their's ended up in our catalog is most likely a matter of database error (as someone else mentioned).

As I said, it looks like OBS has gotten it straightened out and Chris at RPG Objects told me no problem. So, all ends well and hopefully those who had concerns will be better informed as to what happened.

Thanks,
Bill

I dunno if I'd say it's all straightened out - the RPG Objects product page still shows as being in the HinterWelt bundle...

And the product in the HinterWelt bundle links back to the RPGObjects product...

And the RPGObjects product still shows as a HinterWelt product in the drill-down list at the top of the page.

Nope. It still links to Blazing Jets (for me, anyway).

Edit: unless of course you mean they've finally removed the listing from your products, in which case the above point is moot :)
Sorry I was not clear. Yes, OBS has resolved the misplaced item so the link now just goes off to a different index.

Thanks,
Bill

Well, yes. Again, this has been going on for at least six months and I imagine it is not over. Still, I meant in respect to the link in the original post.

Thanks for the information.

Not over? It seems that apart from changing the product that the link in your first post refers to, they haven't actually done anything :) The product is still a "HinterWelt" product as far as the world (and OBS) is concerned.

Best of luck getting it fixed - I think you'll need it!

I am sorry, I thought I had been clear. It was listed under our catalog on OBS. I have receive several emails within the last week that have advised me on pirating, stealing the design of, and IP infringement of the title "Another Man's Treasure" from RPG Objects. I was making a public apology for any misunderstanding by customers about the incident. In the end, as the publisher of the catalog that had this title in it, it is my responsibility to resolve (i.e. remove) the problem. I wanted to make a public announcement to the effect since there had been such a spike in concerned emails.

Is that clearer?

Thanks,
Bill

All right, thanks a lot.

Chuck

Shouldn't OBS also apologize for the typographical or layout error?

Aren't they misleading customers to think Hinterwelt is at fault of infringement?

We should flood them with complaints.

To be clear, that is not my objective. I only wish to let people who had not contacted me know what was going on. I understand that accidents happen.
