Arcane Publishers Edition Vol. 1
zipped Tiffs
Coming to RPGnow: June 23rd

Yep, that's right. All the artwork you have seen in the original series of Artifacts of the Arcane, is being prepped for publisher licensing. Each volume will contain 20-30 seperate images for any commercial PDF or Print product each approx. 1/4 page b/w image @300dpi Tiffs. This is not a PDF.

I will also provide in the demo link, a thumbnail PDF of all the contained images, so you can be sure that you can get what your looking for or even plan out how to use the images before investing. As a special note, each volume will also contain 2 images made special just for that issue.

I will balance the packet with an equal number of weapons, items, armor, and portraits.

Buying the first volume will also give you a discount for the second volume at $5 off, which the special link will be sent to you once I have it up. I am looking to put up 2 volumes per month.
Don't hesitate, start making plans now!

Thank you,
But actually I don't really think so; at $25 not everyone is going to buy it. Allot of Indies seem to prefer the $5 clip art range. That in itself will narrow how proliferated the artwork is.

As an "indie publisher..." ;)

Is there any way I can get a look at the Licensing Agreement/Terms of Use before I buy? I am interested, but I would like to know what I can and can't do with the images before I shell out $25 for them.

Speaking for me personally, I definitely want at least the ability to color and resize the images, for instance, and of course use them in an unlimited number of PDF and/or Print works without the need to pay additional royalties. (I would love to be able to do other things as well, but that is the bare minimum).

I only ask here, and not privately, because I figure a public answer on the Licensing Agreement is in the interest of all other publishers who might be considering picking up this collection.

Hey Sigil,

No problem, I understand. Did you download the PDF sample? It pretty much explains the rights. But I'll reiterate here for the public.

Commercial Rights for Arcane PE1:

* You have the right to reproduce as needed for your projects in any form, PDFs, Print etc...
** Color them, splice pictures together, just use a headshot any way you want to handle them, color them and use them as a cover etc...
*** Be sure to list the artwork credit (would be appreciated).

**** You can use them for company promotion, but the company name must be prominatley displayed on the product (like a T-Shirt) and credit given for the art. You can even use it as a logo if you want.

What you can't do:

< You can't reproduce the work for individual sale as T-Shirts/Hats etc. nothing that takes the art itself as the sole product for resale based wholy on the artwork itself. As per the above, exception being company/product promotion.

<< You can't give multiple nor single copies away, like you buy it, use what you want and give the rest away to another "publisher" who needs it, NO sharing. It s for you and your companies products and may be spread through several projects as many times as you wish.

<<< You can't say its your art, credit would be preferably given and the credit of the artist whom might color it or re-arrange it.

<<<< You can't have it printed on custom toilet paper, that would be defacing the intention of the art :)

Hope thats all clear now, thanks for asking. I'm a vague kinda guy, waht can I say

Thank you Anna and Sigil!
And the rest who have been interested with thier email questions.

I should ahve another volume up very soon. and that one will have 3 new pieces in it as well. I may even add some minor item/decor images like border and things.

It will certainly be a surprise. If you have any image suggestions for the next module, please let me know!

How about, "V Shane does the base classes/races?"

Not a re-hash of Regdar, Vadania, et al, but a set of pictures that can be used with each of the 11 base classes... a half-elf fighter, halfling paladin, gnomish druid, dwarven bard, elven barbarian, half-orc rogue, human ranger, etc.

So that's my humble little old request... give us 11 new iconics! :)
