Good suggestion, I looked over my production release schedule and think I just may release Half of the Arcane PE series as the previous Arcane images and do the other half as never before released images (brand spanking new) some iconic, and others as brief scenes, even corner scenes for the corner pages etc...

The images are great!

Suggestions for new images: various kobolds (eg. kobold bard, kobold ranger, kobold sorcerer, kobold merchant.).

Maybe magical effects too? What about exteriors and interiors of buildings?

Kobolds? Heh, that would be quite the custom request, I don't know alot of gamers that would use Kobolds, maybe in the monster pack I am doing.

Review--hope it helps

The bottom line up front: this is a superb product that is well worth the price paid! There is a nice mix of artwork that can easily be incorporated into a variety of products.

There are four character sketches and a number of items that obviously come from different cultural groups (including racial items such as elvish and dwarvish creations). The only thing missing are some critters and action scenes--but I am more likely to commission such material anyway.

Many of the pieces can be used as filler material--to fill that white space and add a bit of character to the page. But don't be deceived--the artwork is of sufficient quality that it can certainly stand on it's own as well. The challenge will be ensuring that the other artwork in the product meets the same high standards.

Easily one of the top three values I have purchased in the past year! I'll be purchasing the rest of them as well!

Cecil, thank you so much for posting this review on RPGnow. I really appreciate it ! ALOT of work goes into the original art, and I am certainly planning my next set to be outstanding.

I had a deadline today for an advertisement (for my own site btw), and i was running late and am suffering (still) from a rather short night (i need sleep!). I had to make the advertisement between phonecalls and solving problems for others (i work at a computer helpdesk). I scribbled down some notes in the metro while getting to work and almost forgot that i still didn't have a logo (just a name and a punshline), so i spent more than half the day 'designing' a B&W company logo. Next came the make up of an advertisement A5 page, then i realized that i needed an eye catcher, drawing something myself wasn't an option (i need time for that). So i suddenly remembered that V_Shane had his Arcane Publishers Edition, so i checked it out and thought that i could use one of the four characters of Vol.1 as my eye catcher. 25 bucks and an hour later i had my images on my HD (i hate slow modem connections). I browsed through the images and for $25 to use in a product they are pretty good except for one, the elven female fighter... That one is supurb! That's my eyecatcher!

I'll buy vol.2 tonight, i hope that there's more of the same quality in there. If that elf is a standard you can draw to repeatedly, maybe i'll have a couple of 'commisions' for you...

Thanks again for the support and I certainly have something special planned for Vol. 3 (about half the art will be new), maybe a few action scenes and a new angle on the classes as Sigil suggested. Alright and maybe ONE Kobold just for Anna
