Arcane Rejuvenation

This is the Battle Mage PP utility power on page 170:

Arcane Rejuvenation Battle Mage Utility 12
In a bad spot, you draw on arcane energy to help you stay on your
feet.

Daily ✦ Arcane, Healing
Immediate Interrupt Personal
Trigger: You are reduced to 0 hit points or fewer
Effect: You regain hit points equal to your level + your Intelligence
modifier

This seems straightforward at first but with the wording on immediate interrupt it seems like you would gain the hitpoints as the ogre smacks you (thus he would do all the damage after the healing, and if he was gonna put you into sufficient negatives, you're still dead).

I'm pretty sure this is what the RAW says (correct me if you see other ambiguities) but do you think this is what was intended? Or perhaps the interrupt is there because you can't use a power when you are in fact dead(which is technically when a reaction would go off)? Or they made it that way on purpose to make it less of a get out of jail free card?

Yes, since it's an interrupt you resolve it before the triggering action, meaning you regain the hp before you're actually reduced to 0 or below, so you never go down. Even the fluff of the power supports that: it helps you "stay on your feet," not "get up and try again."
