Archaeologist's Luck and Prerequisites

From the PFSRD:

Archaeologist’s luck is treated as bardic performance for the purposes of feats, abilities, effects, and the like that affect bardic performance.

Does this mean that it also counts as bardic performance for the purpose of qualifying for feats and/or Prestige Classes that require bardic performance? Logical reading would say that it must, or else the Archaeologist doesn't qualify to take any of the abilities that the passage refers to, but on the other hand it seems unusual that a class without bardic performance would qualify for Prestige Classes like Lyric Thaumaturge or Sublime Chord.

It does count. It probably wasn't written with 3E prestige classes in mind, though.

I do strongly recommend Lingering Performance feat to basically triple your rounds per day, seems like a required must-have feat for an Archaeologist.
