Are Any Publishers Planning to Continue Support For 3.5?

If it is allowed. One of the restrictions n the new OGL may well be "no dual statting". I have no evidence for this, but if I was trying to ensure that every 4E OGL product published directly supported 4E, I'd put it in the license.

Since the 4e OGL and the original OGL are separate licenses it'll be sort of tricky dual-statting anyway. You might be able to include both licenses in a book and say one only applies to the material in the purple boxes (or whatever) which is your 3e stuff -- but there might be other details of the licenses that get in the way.

Yes, but what about seperate printing? Amethyst will be published in March at 3.5 and again in January '09 with 4.0. I can't see a problem with that if you put the effort in making both editions compatible with no mention of the alternate version.

We'll find out in June. We don't know if 4E will allow dual-stated products or not. Until either we see it or someone that has seen it talks (and that probably won't happen until June when phase II begins), we won't know what is or is not allowed.

Very true, this is all conjecture. Even still, I cannot belive they would prevent 3.0/3.5 & 4.0 versions of the same game. This is more than dual releases. I mean, what about games previously released on 3.0/3.5 like Midnight? So I can't see why they would prevent 4.0 versions of previous 3.5 titles.

You're assuming I mean to publish dual-statted products as a single release :) Other publishers put out two versions of the same product using different rulesets. This is what I intend, since it seems pretty clear that OGL4E will not be OGL3.5 compatible.

Exactly. If the rules are as divergent as we have been led to believe, printing both rule sets in a single volume would be clumsy, bulky, and eventually archaic.

I'm not assuming that the rules will necessarily be to divergent; I'm assuming the 4E OGL will not allow it. Well, atleast not in the same product. Free alternate stats as a web enhancement, sure, but not 3.5 and 4.0 stats side by side.
