What is your IQ?

Since a fair number of the people on these boards are certain that the average gamer is pretty average, let's take a look at the portion of the gamer population that is interested in an online community.

If you don't happen to know what your IQ is off the top of your head, then just go ahead and Google for an online IQ test. (Plus I'm sure someone later in the thread will post a link to a good test.)


Oh, and for reference purposes, an "average" IQ is no longer qualified as 100. Due to the increase in average education level since the 1950s when the test was first created, the American average has risen to approximately 110-120.

Where is the "I have no friggen idea" option, given that I think the vast majority of people would enter that answer.

I suspect that this poll will skew high only because those who know their IQ care more, and they probably care more because it is high (or their parents told them it was high).

I'm reasonably certain that's not possible. The IQ tests are normalized around 100. 100 is the average, by definition.

More importantly, use of the word "Intellegentier" should get this poll laughed out of the forum. OT polls get closed anyway.

Not to nitpick, but is "intellegentier" even a real word? And if not, isn't it ironic that is the tag line for this poll! Reminds me of when I was reviewing resumes, and person had listed one of their attributes as having "excellent attention to detial".

That's odd, were you trolling the test or something?

Assuming English is your first language, of course.

You can study for these things, I did some mental workouts for a few months and managed to rate a 178 on a purely logic-based test.

Of course, logic is my specialty so that isn't -that- surprising. I've never gotten over 140 in a visual test.

If reading and language aren't your thing (especially if you take the test in a language other than your own) - you're going to suffer on the test since that is usually at least half of a given IQ test (sometimes all of it).
